Louisiana's James Moore began his musical career as Harmonica Slim, accompanying his famous brother-in-law Lightnin' Slim on hundreds of gigs through the Pelican state earlier in the 1950s. Switching his name to Slim Harpo in 1957, he debuted on Ernie Young's Excello Records with the top-selling "I Got Love if You Want it", which has been well received by the rock 'n' rollers as, we are sure, will this selection.
